It is often heard that even after implementation of an ERP system things weren\'t showing up. But do they really realize the reason for this non-functioning? Our experience tells us no.
What happens in many companies is that even after adopting ERP, the organization continues with traditional functional style of departmentalization. This is mainly because of the absence of customer driven strategic plan or its incomplete implementation. In such set-ups or typically in make-to-stock environment, we find the traditional atmosphere of rivalry between various functional departments.
Employee cooperation is one of the main ingredients for an effective and successful ERP operation. ERP expects boundary-less flat organization structure where every employee is a decision maker and not a mere follower. Secondly, the decision-making must be scientific than based on \'gut feel\'. Thirdly, ERP assumes that the user has an in-depth knowledge of the process he is associated with. He has to work in a team as a key resource element. The objective of the user is to pass maximum value to the customer than to create his own convenience. The user must be analytical in his thinking and be able to use information generated through data iterations for more effective and informed decisions.
This is the formula for successful ERP operations and we have been informed about it by eresouece ERP before the implementation. Our employees have been trained to carry out their work thoroughly and how to work as a team. This has made all the difference in our organization and result started showing immediately after the implementation of eresouece ERP. What we have learned from experience is that it is not just an effective ERP which is the key factor, but the user training method. Undoubtedly eresource scores in both of them. If it is ERP then it must be eresource. That\'s all we can say.
