Workplace Learning and Performance Group, a firm offering workplace training and business coaching, recently received the San Diego Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Customer Service Award for micro businesses.

For almost 20 years the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce has recognized micro and small businesses for their contribution to the region’s economy. Recipients of the annual Small Business Awards were announced during a Chamber of Commerce Awards Mixer held at the Omni Hotel in downtown San Diego. Winners were evaluated by nine judges and awarded with a plaque and certificate.

This year is the first time Workplace Learning and Performance Group has received an award after being a finalist in 2009 and 2011. The other finalists in the Excellence in Customer Service category were Eurolux Patio, Let’s Insure, and Stuart Benjamin & Co.

There were four categories of awards for micro businesses and small business including Outstanding Emerging Business, Most Innovative Product or Service, Excellence in Customer Service, and Most Innovative Marketing Campaign/Concept.
