Drone Filming Company Obtains Critical FAA Legal Status for All Drone Operators
Los Angeles, CA, August 29th, 2016 -- Wild Rabbit Aerial Productions is proud to announce that they are one of the few drone companies in the Greater Los Angeles area that is both 333 Exempt and FAA Part 107 certified! Recently, the Federal Aviation Administration announced that as of today, all operators of small-unmanned aircrafts must submit to more stringent pilot and aircraft operating requirements.
The new Small UAS Rule (Part 107) directs individuals to obtain their “Remote Pilot Certificate.” As a Part 107 pilot, there are new operating rules for drone operators across the United States:
● FAA Part 107 Certified Pilots are now referred to as “Remote Pilots” and must be at least 16 years old.
● FAA Part 107 Certified Pilots must pass an aeronautical knowledge test online or at an FAA approved testing center.
● FAA Part 107 Certified Pilots must report an accident to the FAA within 10 days if the sUAS operation results in serious injury to body or property.
● FAA Part 107 Certified Pilots can fly a maximum altitude of 400 feet above ground level.
