MeeGo on the Nokia N9 will offer great opportunities for downloads of applications and programmes. Users will not only be able to access Nokias own Ovi store but will also have the use of Intels own application store. This is something new for mobile phones which have traditionally granted access to just the one online store such as iTunes or the Android marketplace. Location based services will be supported by the N9 and it is also evident that the handset will offer options for the online synchronisation of data. Being a new platform it would be easy to remain cautious about how successful the operating system will be.
