Market Press Release – February 19, 2012 3:14 pm – 2012 is a potentially huge year for Apple with four exciting new products set to be rolled out over the coming months. Along with the iPad 3 and the eagerly anticipated iTV we are also likely to see the new iPhone 5 launched along with the new iOS5 operating system that all of these product will use. We have a brief look at what we can expect from these products when they are finally unveiled.
It looks likely that Apple will choose to launch the new iPad 3 before the new iPhone 5. This model is the successor to the popular iPad 2 tablet device and is set to incorporate some great new features. There are a huge range of tablets currently available however Apple are the market leaders in this area. The new device is set to incorporate a brand new screen which will double the resolution that was offered on the iPad 2. This 9.7 inch screen should be capable of displaying 2048 x 1536 pixels which means that the model will exceed what all other Tablet devices can offer for pixel density. It is also rumoured that this new device will sport the new A6 Chipset which will feature a quad core processor to ensure that operation speeds are lightning fast. Later in the year it is expected that we will see the first iTV system launched. Having established great success in the smartphone, tablet and computer markets Apple are turning the their attentions to launching their first television. The impressive Siri voice recognition software which was introduced on the iPhone 4S is likely to feature on the Television as is a touchscreen display which will allow users to navigate applications in a similar manner as they do on phones and tablets. Although screen size is not known yet reports suggest that the first iTV will feature a 42 inch display.

Once again the new A6 chipset looks likely to be used which will make the phone one of the very first quad core devices. The phone will also be one of the first phones capable of connecting to the high speed 4G networks that will offer users the fastest mobile browsing experience. Apple are also set to launch version 5.0.1 of their iOS operating system which will be used by both the iPhone 5 and the iPad 3. Apple introduced some big changes when they released version 5.0 in September 2011 and it is likely that updates on this new platform are going to be more subtle. It is rumoured that the platform will be more energy efficient which means that both models will boast improved battery life. The Siri voice recognition software will also be updated to enable it to interact with the settings on the devices.
2012 is set to be yet another massive year for Apple. The iPhone 5 is the most anticipated product set to be launched but the iPad 3 and iTV are also set to attract lots of attention over the coming months.
