One of the first things to strike users of the Xperia Arc is the slimline dimensions. This is because the OS allows users to browse thousands of apps in the Android Market which can be downloaded straight to the handset, whilst the processor is on hand to run demanding applications, as well as contributing to the recourses required for tasks such as web browsing, multitasking and operating the touchscreen effectively.
The ample 4.2 inch LED-backlit LCD capacitive touchscreen is superb. It runs seamlessly and quickly with zero lag thanks to the aforementioned processor, and also provides outstanding display quality. Up to 16 million individual colours can be displayed within the pixel resolution of 480x 854 resulting in excellent detail and image quality. Naturally, this makes the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc great for multimedia tasks such as viewing photos, videos, surfing the web or playing games.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc is also a highly competent cameraphone. Boasting 8 megapixels, the built in digital camera offers the resolution and features to take professional looking photos with ease. Additionally, the camera has the capability to shoot high definition video footage in 720p quality.

Adding to its appeal as a multimedia device, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc has a built in microSD slot which comes with a pre installed 8GB memory card. This is able to store thousands of files such as photos, videos, music tracks and downloadable apps. Should you find that further storage is required, this can be replaced with a compatible card of up to 32 GB.
One of the main reasons people use smartphones is to browse the internet on the go. Thanks to both 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, this is both a convenient and speedy affair. The full HTML browser supports flash, an application which allows various embedded media to be played (such as games and videos), a feature which surprisingly few smartphones offer.
