Market Press Release – September 9, 2011 10:50 am – Blackberry have established a great reputation as the smartphone of choice for the modern business person. Lately we have seen the brands popularity increase with younger areas of the market thanks to the superb Blackberry Messenger service. The New Curve 9360 model is a competitively priced handset that looks to further enhance the brands reputation with a younger audience.
Blackberry have been very active in the last few months releasing three models that utilise the new 7.0 operating system. This is the forth model and takes on the form of a traditional Blackberry device by incorporating a large screen together with a full Qwerty keypad. Looks wise the handset is slimline compared to previous models and measures up at just 11mm. It is not only the measurements on this model that are eye catching as the overall build quality of this model is equally as impressive. The phone feels well constructed and Blackberry have gone to town in terms of design by adding some neat curves together with a metallic trim that makes the phone look much more premium than it actually is. One minor point that has changed on this model is that Blackberry have finally opted to move the headphone socket to the top edge of the models body. This is much more practical when using the phone as a portable music player especially if the phone is being carried in a trouser pocket.

The Blackberry Curve 9360 is a budget handset and therefore some features have been scaled down in order to reduce the cost. One feature missing from this device is a touchscreen however there is an optical trackpad located beneath the screen that enables accurate navigation. The screen itself measures 2.44 inches and offers users a resolution of 480 x 360 pixels. Although the lack of a touchscreen may limit you in some areas the inclusion of a full keypad certainly speeds things up in others. The keypad is very responsive and will have you typing messages and e mails in no time at all. The speed of the processor on this model is 800Mhz which is a little slower than some of the more premium models that Blackberry have recently released but still performs admirably. Web browsing seems very quick with the improved power management of the new operating platform also helps in this area.
The recent range of Blackberry devices has been very impressive and the Curve 9360 is no exception. Despite being a phone aimed at the more budget end of the market it still packs some super features together with looks that will rival any handset currently available.
