Market Press Release – October 29, 2011 9:28 am – The Razr from Motorola is a new Smartphone that offers a superb mix of cutting edge design, power and superb features. This new model looks set to compete with some of the excellent new smartphones that have been recently released such as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the iPhone 4S. Here we take a look at the design and the screen quality on offer with this exciting new model.
The first thing that you will notice about this model is just how incredibly slimline it is. At its thinnest point the Razr is just 7.1mm in depth which is much slimmer than any other model currently available. At the top of the body however there is a slight bulge that incorporates the phones digital camera which makes the phone a little deeper at this point. This bulge only occupies about 10% of the back panel so it really does not detract too much from the overall design. One may think that a phone that is this slim may be incredibly fragile but Motorola have incorporated Kevlar into the models body making it very tough and able to withstand the inevitable bumps and knocks that it will pick up throughout its life. This Kevlar enhanced body is accompanied by a Gorilla Glass screen which means all areas of the build are very durable. At just 127 grammes in weight the Motorola Razr feels very lightweight when in use which is unusual from a model that is as well constructed as this phone. The front of the Razr offers the usual smartphone affair with a large screen dominating proceedings. This is joined by the now familiar set of capacitive Android keys located beneath the screen. This model certainly scores highly for its design and certainly catches the eye when compared to many current handsets.

The Motorola Razr offers a 4.3inch display which is the same size as is found on the best selling Samsung Galaxy S2. This screen uses the very latest Super AMOLED technology which enables the resulting images to be very bright and full of colour. This technology offers slimmer displays than models that use TFT or S-LCD screens and this enables the phone to achieve its thin design which we discussed earlier. Resolution wise the Razr offers users an impressive 540 x 960 which is up there with some of the very best models available with the exception of the iPhone 4S which is in a class of its own in this area. Having said that the Razr is as close as you will get to this quality and can offer a massive 16 million colours together with a capacitive touchscreen that can rival the level of responsiveness found on any other phone.
The Motorola Razr looks destined to become a huge success with worldwide consumers. The slim design is what will initially attract many people but look beyond this and you have a phone that offers a premium quality screen together with a host of great features.
