Video playback on the Blackberry Bold 9790 is equally as impressive with some great features that really benefit the user. Although the phone is not the ideal device for playing back movies thanks to its smaller than average screen it still performs admirably in this area. A multitude of video file formats are supported by the phone including DivX, Xvid and WMV and all files that we tested on the device played back in high quality with no problems. The models supports files up to 720P resolution meaning that users can enjoy High Definition quality from this device. The screen on this handset is a landscape design which means that you do not have to turn the phone onto its side to enjoy widescreen playback. This feature makes the viewing of clips a very quick and straightforward affair. When playing back a clip if you tap the screen or a button an array of playback controls appears on screen and also a useful option which allows you to adjust the video so that it entirely fills the screen to maximise your viewing experience.
