The major National Parks of Srilanka are Yala National Park, Wilpattu National Park, Gal Oya National Park, Uda Walawe National Park, Madhura Oya National Park, Wasgamuwa National Park, Horton Plains Nationa Park and Bundala National Park. The animals seen in National Parks of Srilanka include elephant, leopard, sloth bear, sambhur, deer and monkeys, wild buffalo, wild boar, porcupine, ant-eater, civet cat, jackal, mongoose, loris and several varieties of lizards, squirrels, reptiles and amphibians. With a long coastline to boot, Srilanka is apt for wind-surfing, water skiing, surfing, sailing, scuba- diving, snorkeling and speed boating. More renowned of water sports sites are Negombo, Wadduwa, Kalutara, Beruwela, Bentota, Hikkaduwa and Galle.


Many types of rice, spices, vegetables and fruits are cultivated in Srilanka. This fact mixed with foreign influences result in a unique and delicious cuisine. Srilanka has a delectable array of snacks also.
