There is no doubt that the Hawks will struggle without Horford since he has been Atlanta’s most well-rounded player and arguably one of the best on defense in the Eastern conference.
The Toronto Raptors have been in a similar position with the loss of Andrea Bargnani to a sprained calf muscle, and the loss has definitely shown in their recent performance. Bargnani is currently day-to-day but the injury to his calf is reportedly not serious, so we should see him back in the Raptors lineup very soon.
The Toronto Raptors are currently sitting in fourth place in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference with a record of 4-9, while the Atlanta Hawks currently sit in second place in the Southeast division of the Eastern Conference with a record of 9-4. If Bargnani returns to the lineup then the Raptors may be able to turn things around against the Hawks, as they will definitely be missing Al Horford. With a recent 4 losses in a row, the Toronto Raptors will also be looking to get out of the slump they are in, and Bargnani returning could be just what they need.
