Ondesoft stated that users will be able to convert to all the most popular file formats, including: MP3, AAC, AC3, AIFF, AU, FLAC, M4A, M4R, and MKA. And Onde iTunes Converter won’t only be limited to DRM protected media, this new release will also include the ability to convert any file to the formats listed above, giving users a complete media converter in one simple, easy to use program.
Ondesoft claim their main focus with Onde iTunes Converter was to address the problem of moving DRM protected media across playback devices. They have even included the ability to extract the audio from iTunes protected videos and convert it to unlocked, accessible audio files (in any format listed above). CEO Sean Lee stated, “It’s time for Mac users to be able to access their media in the format that is convenient for them, and with Onde iTunes Converter, they can do just that.”
Another primary goal when creating the software reportedly centered around giving users all the options necessary to make Onde iTunes Converter the only conversion software they needed. So, developers included the ability to convert all file types, not just DRM protected media. And, in order to assert Onde iTunes Converter’s dominance in the competitive world of online software, it had to be fast. Developers made sure recording speeds could reach up to 12x that of playback in order to ensure the fasted converting speeds available. And while developers wanted to make sure any Mac user could easily convert media files, they also claim they didn’t want to alienate more advanced users by limiting the amount of control over conversion options. Advanced options include customizing the bitrate, sample rate, codec selection and the number of channels in the converted file. Lee says he is proud of the work his developers have put in to Ondesoft’s newest addition to their software catalogue and that “Onde iTunes Converter will have something for every type of user, no one was left out when we were building this application.”
