New Survey To Learn What Helps Those With Meniere's Disease
www.OvercomingMenieresDisease is sponsoring a survey to learn what reduces the symptoms of those with Meniere's disease.
Market Press Release – February 14, 2012 5:40 am
Meniere's disease affects the inner ear causing bouts of vertigo, nausea, and tinnitus. Over time, the sufferer typically experiences hearing loss in the affected ear. The actual cause of Meniere's disease is unknown. It is an incurable disease and little is understood about what can be done to eliminate the symptoms in the Meniere's patient. The symptoms are truly terrible and greatly reduce the quality of one's life. Vertigo attacks can come and go at will leaving the sufferer homebound not knowing when the next attack will come.|
Different treatments have been tried and studied scientifically. The challenge is that what works well for one patient may have no effect on another. Determining what works and what doesn't is exacerbated by the fact that Meniere's disease seems to come and go at will. It can be dormant for years and something will trigger it back to life bringing misery to the poor soul diagnosed with it.
These challenges have doctors throwing up their hands, not knowing what to prescribe for their patients. This scenario leaves the poor patient even further out in the lurch not knowing what to do but suffering terribly.
When conventional medicine hasn't helped one with Meniere's, he or she typically turns to fellow sufferers to find out what has helped them. Many times the patient can try it and find relief and sometimes not. The motive to try something new is forever present as long as Meniere's is active and wreaking havoc in their life.
The website Overcoming Meniere's Disease (http://www.overcomingmenieresdisease.com) is currently surveying those with Meniere's disease to learn what treatments patients have found helpful in managing the symptoms. If you have been diagnosed with Meniere's disease, please take the survey, over at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/JCRG3Z7 . The results of the survey will be published at OvercomingMenieresDisease.com next month.
