North Shore Animal League America's Pet Health Centers (PHC) have been serving adopted and community pets for more than a decade. The PHC are comprised of the Don and Karen LaRocca Pet Wellness Center, the Alex Lewyt Veterinary Medical Center, and the Freed Special Recovery Center, all located on the Animal League's Port Washington, New York campus.
With a caseload of nearly 30,000 visits per year, the Pet Health Centers are among the busiest in the nation. Staffed by 18 full-time veterinarians and more than 40 licensed veterinary technicians, the Pet Health Centers are accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) ensuring premium service. The Pet Health Center's mission is to provide a full range of high quality, affordable healthcare for pet patients in a low-stress environment throughout all stages of the animal's life.
The Pet Health Centers offer a full range of services including routine health checks and vaccinations, hospitalization, orthopedic and specialty surgeries, rehabilitation programs, laser therapy, acupuncture and herbal medicine.
Additionally, optional Wellness Plans and Rewards Programs are available to owners seeking optimal care for their pets.
The Pet Health Centers are open 365 days a year, from 10am - 8pm.
