Market Press Release – May 13, 2011 3:26 pm – The brand new LG Optimus Black has now been officially released by T-Mobile in the UK, this new LG Optimus phone features the manufacturers first ever NOVA screen technology which offers super bright whites (sounds like a washing powder commercial!) and performs just as well inside as well as in direct sunlight.

The new NOVA touch screen display on the Optimus Black measures a good 4 inches and there’s also a 5 mega pixel camera as well as a front facing 2.0 mega pixel camera for video calling (or as Apple seem to have called it: FaceTime), the new screen technology uses far less battery power than that of AMOLED and reduces power consumption by 50% during indoor use.
This is good news as the LG Optimus Black is an Android powered phone which many will know soon chews up the battery life and although the Optimus Black is shipped with Android 2.2 it will receive the 2.3 gingerbread update VERY soon which also includes further battery saving features which alongside a large 1500mAh battery should produce plenty of talk time.
Slim and sleek at just 9.2mm thin the LG Optimus Black weighs in at just 109g and is powered by a 1GHz processor, for a phone with a 4 inch screen that’s pretty impressive, it also offers the new Wi-Fi Direct technology which allows different Wi-Fi enabled devices to communicate which will simplify wireless printing and file transfers no end. Also on offer is a 2GB internal memory expandable with MicroSD cards.
