K & D Landscape Management Inc. is proud to announce they have recently added John Algozzini to their staff as Director of Landscape Design. Algozzini brings a considerable list of credentials from the landscaping field, having worked at two of the biggest contractors in the nation in both landscape design and administrative roles.
John’s landscape design folio includes multiple state and national award winning projects that represent styles from French Country to Post-Modern Urban. He has done landscape design work for high-profile locations such as the Playboy Building on Lakeshore Drive and the house from the movie ‘Home Alone’ in Winnetka. In 2010 his ‘Urban Oasis’ project in Lincoln Park was named top design in the state by the ILCA.
Magazines such as This Old House, Great Backyards, West Suburban Living and Luxe have featured designs by Mr. Algozzini. In addition he has taught design related courses the last two years at Navy Pier and also does speaking engagements for a variety of garden clubs. John “Algo” Algozzini also sits on the Illinois Landscape Contractors Design Panel, is a judge for the annual Unilock Brick Landscape Awards and is a contributing editor for two national gardening magazines.
