Idea Jalsa – Music for the Soul, conceived by Durga Jasraj and produced by her company Art And Artistes’ is all set to arrive with earth shattering beat with legends, maestros and rising stars of Indian music to present a rich and diverse showcase of Indian Culture and all of it through a pure Live Music performance. The treat to the ears is absolutely FREE for all music lovers and the fans of Hindustani Classical Music cannot miss the overwhelming performance by our Classical Maestros at Nehru Centre Auditorium, Annie Besant Road, Worli, Mumbai on 7th February from 7.30pm onwards.

In these 5 years of journey ‘Idea Jalsa – Music for the Soul’ has endeavored to take this form of music to the masses and now after crossing 100 Million Viewers on TV, Idea Jalsa has undisputedly established itself as the Single Largest Platform for All genres of Indian Music. This celebration will bring about all the Music Maestros to come under one roof.
Idea Jalsa – Music for the Soul is celebrating this milestone by organizing a rare musical evening with ‘Jasrangi Jugalbandi’ by world renowned Maestros Pandit Sanjeev Abhyankar of Mewati Gharana and Dr. Ashwini Bhide Deshpande of Jaipur-Atrauli Gharana both outstanding vocalists who are immensely popular and revered in their generation.
‘Jasrangi Jugalbandi’ is the acclaimed original unique concept of Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj and is one of the greatest contributions to Indian Music aptly named as ‘Jasrangi’. It is a sensuous fusion of the Yin and the Yang, the male and the female principles. It is a harmonious blend, wherein a male and a female singer, sing different ragas in their own respective scales, interweaving them into a wondrous whole.
The eminent dignitaries to be present at the occasion are Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj - Founder Patron of Indian Music Academy, Smt. Rajashree Birla, Himanshu Kapania – MD, Idea Cellular Ltd. and Musicians from across all genres of music of India.
