Placement news: Prin L.N Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research, Mumbai has concluded its placement for the batch of 2010-12 with about 180 renowned companies including Infosys Technologies, HUL, Wipro Technologies, Deloitte Consulting, HCL Technologies, Reliance Industries, Tata Motors, Capgemini, IBM, recruiting the entire batch from the campus.

According to the placement office of the institute, while the highest package offered at the campus was Rs. 20 lakh per annum, the annual average package to the batch stood at Rs. 7.75 lakh this year.
According to the placement office, half of the batch opted for IT/ITES and BFSI sector. While as much as 28 per cent of the batch opted for IT/ITES, the BFSI companies stood next with 23 per cent of the batch choosing to start career in the sector. Other sectors like Heavy industry, Media and Entertainment, Research and Consultancy also recruited in good numbers from the institute.
The participating companies offered a total of 627 job offers to the batch of 418 graduating students. According to the institute, as many as 15 students opted out of the campus placement.
A total of 180 companies participated in the placement process this year of which 65 were new. The list of top companies included Infosys Technologies, HUL, Wipro Technologies, Deloitte Consulting, HCL Technologies, Reliance Industries, Tata Motors, Capgemini, IBM.
