IMI Delhi reopens applications only for CAT 2011 90+ percentilers

IMI Delhi, which had completed its admission process on November 18, 2011, is giving another chance to the MBA aspirants who have scored 90 percentile and above in CAT 2011 to apply.The last date to apply at IMI Delhi is Wednesday, February 29, 2012.

Market Press Release – January 16, 2012 12:58 pm – IMI Delhi, which had completed its admission process on November 18, 2011, is giving another chance to the MBA aspirants who have scored 90 percentile and above in CAT 2011 to apply. In a recent announcement made by the B-School, it is mentioned that the admissions are open for the 2012-14 batch of the PGDM and PGDHRM programs of IMI Delhi. The last date to apply at IMI Delhi is Wednesday, February 29, 2012.

The B-School mentions, “Applicants with 90 percentile or more in CAT are only advised to apply.” Dr. Pritam Singh, Director General, IMI says, “We have reopened the application process of IMI Delhi only to attract very best. We have already received more than 6100 applications in the last round of applications. There has been a massive increase of 40 per cent in the application process compared to last year.”

Talking about the selection procedure of IMI Dr. P C Mehra, Admission Chairperson of IMI Delhi and Bhubaneswar mentions, “The selection process will be multi faceted, involving scores being allocated to 10th, 12th and Graduation marks apart from relevant work experience and academic stream. The objective is to have diversity in the class rather than a skew in favor of one stream or the other.”

The application process of IMI Kolkata and IMI Bhubaneswar will also end on February 29, 2012.
The flagship program of all the three campuses is PGDM. The number of seats offered is 120.
The candidates who have completed their graduation with a minimum 50 per cent aggregate from a recognized University are eligible to apply. “The bachelors’ degree or equivalent qualification obtained by you must entail a minimum of three years education after completing higher secondary schooling under the 10+2 system or equivalent,” IMI mentions.
The tuition fee for PGDM program in IMI Delhi will be Rs. 8, 76, 000. The total fee is Rs. 10.77 lakh for the year 2012-14.
