Any photographer will tell you that the resolution is not the only area of a camera that affects the end result and that the optics that are used also make a huge difference. The new lens used in this model incorporates five elements that shape incoming light to make the image sharper. The aperture of the lens has also been increased to enable more light to pas through the sensor. This means that even in darker conditions you can be sure that your image will look superb.

The new iPhone 4S uses a new A5 chipset and this features an image signal processor which rivals what can be found on many digital cameras. Not only does this enable you to tap the screen to focus on a certain aspect of your picture but it also increases the response speed of the shutter. Earlier models suffered from a slight delay from when you physically take the photograph and when the image was actually captured.
