(ORLANDO, FL) OCTOBER 19, 2012 - Fast Forward Academy is known throughout the United States for its high quality tax education programs and the various ways it helps registered tax preparers achieve required continuing education credits and tax updates. Today, Fast Forward Academy announces that one of its books, IRS Enrolled Agent Study Guide, can now be counted toward RTRP CPE credits.
Specifically, the book will count for 10 hours of "other federal tax" for the RTRP IRS education credential. The study guide does focus on enrolled agents content-wise; however, it does not count for EA CPE credits. Only registered tax preparers can count the book toward continuing education requirements. This allowance is accomplished using the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) standards for content and not the exam prep course exception.
About this new offering, Fast Forward Academy CEO, Rain Hughes, says, "Our goal at Fast Forward Academy is not only to help aspiring tax professionals become enrolled agents or registered tax preparers, but to help established professionals maintain their credentials with efficient tax education." He continues, "The ability to earn registered tax return preparer continuing education credit and simultaneously prepare for the Enrolled agent exam is a huge advantage for those using our IRS Enrolled Agent Study Guide. As an IRS-approved provider of continuing education we also have the requisite courses on ethics and federal tax updates to help tax professionals meet their CPE obligations as required by the end of 2012."
In particular, the information contained in Chapters 9 - 20 of the EA study guide correlate to the 50-question exam which, once passed, satisfies the 10 hour Other Federal Tax Law requirement by addressing Advanced Business Tax and Representation topics. Students can purchase this book here.
