Troy, Michigan, USA – Emilio Basa may explain to his listeners that he isn’t sure what makes his music unique, but that art is simply an expression of passion and emotions. The true originality of his music stems from an ability to take what is within and effectively share it through song. Expressing his life story, his unique account fears and happiness are expressed in his own words using a creative approach. Basa believes that music is such a personal experience that no two musicians art could, or should ever be the same.
With a sense of humility, he believes that his music is simply a reflection of his innermost thoughts rather than a reinvention of the art. Like so many artists before him, he has picked up a guitar and written about what he knows. His album is not only focused on the methods in which the music is presented, but on the experiences shared through his lyrics.
“To the End” as an album can be described as a group effort. Recorded in a basement studio using Pro Tools, the album consists mainly of Basa and his producer. A variety of guest musicians were brought in to provide instrumentals on a few tracks, and the producer himself supplied the bass on many of the tracks. In this way, the album is a shared experience and a community with aspiring artists who used their own talents to support one another.
He recently started a blog; musicians-journey.com, which provides the story of Basa’s musical career as well as a hub for artists to share stories, marketing tips, and other information to encourage each other and advance their careers. Currently in the process of coordinating live shows, Emilio Basa is also working on a new 5 song EP.
