Security is another major reason while focus has shifted from Blackberry over to the new iPhone 4S. The new operating system sported by the Apple devices offers improvements in this area which include automatic encryption and the facility to wipe the handsets memory from a remote location if the handset is ever lost. Features such as this appeal to the business user whose data stored on the device may be particularly sensitive. The server problems Blackberry experienced on October 10th has also knocked the confidence of many firms who have relied on these devices for years. There is evidence that this change is already happening. The Royal Bank Of Scotland has recently confirmed that it is the latest banking organisation to trial Apple products including the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4S. This follows on from news that US giant banks Citigroup and Bank Of America are also trialing the products.
