Lansing, MI, USA, September 14, 2015 -- Michael McCallum, the CEO of Rebel Pictures, is an award winning Michigan filmmaker with a portfolio of eight short films and four feature films since 1999. Rebel Pictures has received numerous accolades and nominations, including 60 major awards from 109 nominations in nearly 100 film festivals.
The two latest efforts by McCallum are “Two For the Show” and “Confidence Of a Tall Man”. The first film, "Two For the Show," is due to be released in Oct./Nov; the second, Confidence Of a Tall Man, is set for a Spring 2016 release. Like two earlier films by Rebel Pictures, they are the focus of a crowdfunding campaign, details of which are available at http://ow.ly/RuuaX . Filming on each of these current projects has been completed and editing is in progress. Both of these films were produced entirely in the "mitten".
“Two for the Show” is being sent to sound editing and "Confidence Of a Tall Man" is one-third of the way cut together. Additional assistance is needed to accomplish the post-production process for both. Two for the Show needs DVD manufacturing, as well as theater rental, film festival entries and promotional materials. Funds for the campaign will permit finishing films and planning a 2015 showing at Celebration Cinema or another mid-Michigan venue.
According to Michael, “Making a film of any size is a huge undertaking. It takes a lot of time, talent, patience, planning and of course money. In the past, I've held local fundraisers in my hometown of Lansing, MI and paid for everything mainly myself. My short film, “Sure Thing” (2013) and my latest feature film “Buffalo” (2014) were each funded successfully with Kickstarters.
“Buffalo”, the fourth feature film by writer/director/producer/editor Michael McCallum is the recipient of nine major awards from eighteen nominations. This recognition was collected during the movie's first five film festivals.
