Apple Inc has been criticized in some quarters for an over hyped advertisement campaign for its Siri voice command feature and also for being over aggressive in its patent wrangle with staunch rival Samsung. Well, be this as it may, but the point remains that no one in their right minds would doubt the world class technical brilliance of the Apple iPhone 4S 16 GB and its extraordinary ability to market its mobile devices as well as itself very well.
The Apple iPhone 4S 16 GB was officially launched in about 70 odd markets across the globe on October 14, 2012. And this release very much included the UK mobile phone marketplace. In another fortnight or so, the fifth generation iPhone device got its presence established in the remaining world markets as well.
The Cupertino-based technology company had released its quarterly sales figures for the mobile devices for 2012. We find that the Apple iPhone 4S had sold 31,500,000 units in the quarter of this year extending from January to March , 2012 alone. Earlier, it had sold 37, 044, 000 units in the last quarter (Oct. – Dec., 2011) as well.
It is now anybody’s guess that the Apple iPhone 4S 16 GB would have sold only more or at the very least a figure that is equivalent to what it managed in the previous quarter in the second quarter of this year.
Whosoever said that Apple Inc erred in overstating the technical prowess of the Siri voice command is forgetting that Apple only followed the age old dictum of all marketing campaigns that you tom tom all your strengths and tone down your negatives.
After all, Apple did add in its promotional that the Siri voice assistant feature is still in its infancy period only and it will take its some time to evolve further.
We do not see anything wrong in this at all. The success of the Apple iPhone 4S 16 GB device should be measured only in pure numbers and nothing else. Isn’t this a fair assessment logic?
If any development can stall the further growth of the Apple iPhone 4S 16 GB handset, then it has to be the imminent arrival of the sixth generation Apple iPhone 5 device only.
