Market Press Release – February 1, 2012 4:40 pm – The HTC Sensation XL is one of two new versions of the popular original Sensation. In this article I will look at how the HTC Sensation XL performs as a camera phone.
The camera on this handset operates at 8 megapixels, which is the same as the original Sensation as well as other handsets from the manufacturer like the original Sensation, Sensation XE and Desire HD. The camera ensures good quality results thanks to its resolution of 3264x 2448, so expect good levels of detail and quality from the resulting images. Thanks the high resolution touchscreen of this device (480x 800), photos will impress when viewed on the screen, and be even better if you utilise the handset’s DLNA connectivity to wirelessly stream them to a compatible TV.
Of course the camera on the HTC Sensation XL has the ability to shoot video footage. Unlike the original Sensation and the XE, it does not capture 1080p resolution video, but 720p HD. Although the quality is slightly less than these handsets, it still provides clear, sharp footage which looks great on a TV or computer screen, and the quality is still much higher than many other smartphones.
To ensure that photos and videos are captured in optimum quality, there are a number of included features which also make the camera easier to use. These include autofocus, dual-LED flash, face detection and touch focus. Some of these features can be set to automatic, so the camera actually does most of the work for you; so you have to simply line up the shot and tap the capture button. Even the flash has an automatic setting which detects light levels and engages the flash facility when appropriate.
As you can see, the camera on the HTC Sensation XE is highly functional, and thanks to its powerful features and ease of use, it makes an ideal handset for anyone who is interested in owning a good camera phone.
