Market Press Release – December 9, 2011 12:12 pm – AlphaOne, Amritsar has taken another lead by hosting school and college students to familiarize them with the modern retail, lifestyle and entertainment experience at the biggest destination of Punjab, as part of their ongoing initiative for inclusive growth of children. AlphaOne, Amritsar since its Grand Launch in 2010 has been adding value to the lives of families and youngsters in Amritsar by way of interactive events and opportunities for wholesome participation.
Under the able guidance of Mr. Rajendra Prasad and Col. Mandeep Singh, the School and College Principals are contacted by the team at AlphaOne, Amritsar for having the children over at AlphaOne so that they can experience for themselves the biggest City Centre experience. The children had an overwhelming response, with over 150 students visiting them in batches of 40-50, including children of Kindergarten over the last 3 days. They also had a separate visit from a College from Pathankot wherein 70 students visited AlphaOne, Amritsar along with their teachers and professors.
The Customer Relationship Executives (CREs) at AlphaOne took the students around personally showcasing the different aspects. The Head of Departments (HODs) also spent time with them to educate the children, in the process developing a special bond based on information exchange with them. The children absorbed the novel experience that AlphaOne offered and expressed their wish to come back time and again, together with their parents. The experience also entailed having a meal at Flavours, the AlphaOne, Food court, browsing through the stores, checking out the latest merchandise, discounts and offerings and being introduced to computerised billing, merchandising and the latest displays. Seeing the enthusiasm among the students, the schools have now shown interest in bringing in their senior students also and in the coming week they will have batches of students from Class 9 and 10 as well.
Dr. Prodipta Sen, Executive Director, Alpha G:Corp, explained the idea behind their new initiative, “At the outset, we would like to make the youngsters aware of the experience of new age retail destinations. The teachers from different schools are appreciating our efforts, the concept and especially calling us to book slots for groups of students. Our next step would be to showcase to the students the professionalism that goes behind the scenes. We offer refreshments to the kids and sum up by giving some simple knowledge about retail. Thus the children have a ‘Special’ day at AlphaOne.”
