This Citizen Eco Drive watch is a multi-hand watch that displays the date, day and month using hands of the watch. It also features an additional display of the moon phase. This watch also has insufficient charge warning function. When the watch becomes insufficiently charged, the second hand begins 2-second interval movement to indicate that the watch is insufficiently charged. This watch features Overcharging Prevention function. When the secondary battery becomes fully charged as a result of exposing the watch dial (solar cell) to light, the overcharging prevention feature is activated automatically to prevent the battery from being charged further. It also features quick start features.
The dial is three dimensional and deeply textured for a rich and elegant appearance. The applied numerals rise above the dial. The date hand is curved with a unique sunburst pointer at the end that points to each numerical date. Even the moon phase dial shows the 29 and 1/2 day rotation periods. This dial and the entire watch are beautifully designed. The Citizen Eco Drive watch is water resistant to 100 meters or 330 feet below sea level for unlimited versatility in wear. The gently curved hardened mineral glass crystal is very scratch resistant and is coated with a special non-reflective coating for perfect visibility.
