The Sensation XL is the new flagship model so as you would expect it boasts some superb specification. If we take a look at the processing power on this model then it is surprising to find that only a single core chip is responsible for keeping the handset running. With many smartphones now boasting dual core chips it is slightly shocking not find such a set up used in this premium model. On the plus side the Scorpion processor that is used on this model is very powerful at 1.5Ghz and should ensure that all aspects of the phones features operate at a very fast pace. An Adreno 205 GPU deals with the graphics side of affairs and does a great job providing the phone with crystal clear video and excellent images. This is just one of the reasons why this phone is so impressive in the multi media area. We have previously discussed the merits of the large screen that is present on this phone but there is also a large number of video file formats that are accepted that enable the screen to show a wide variety of material. MP4 files can be shown in addition to H.263, H.264 and WMV files. These files can all be stored on the large capacity 16GB of internal storage that is available. Unlike many other models from the brand there is no external card slot meaning you are limited to the capacity that comes supplied with the device but with 16GB to play with you would have to store a lot of material in order to use this up.

If you like to use your phone to capture photographs and video footage the HTC Sensation XL is one of the very best models that you can lay your hands on. The main camera on the phone is capable of capturing images in a resolution of 8 mega pixels. There is also a secondary front facing camera present on the phone which offers a lower resolution of 1.3 mega pixels. The main camera is accompanied by some impressive features which not only make taking a photograph a simple affair but also enhance the end product. A powerful dual LED flash is always handy but the handset does a great job of capturing low light photographs without the flash facility activated. This is thanks to a BSI sensor which enables more light to pass trough the camera therefore enhancing shots which would typically look dark. On the video side of things the camera captures 1080 Full HD footage which is what you would expect from a premium smartphone and is the same standard as is offered on the best selling Samsung Galaxy S2 and the new iPhone 4S.
