Market Press Release – January 29, 2012 5:09 am – 2012 Job Strategies for Successful Employment
Author Shows Need for Individuals to “Brand” to Look More Attractive to Potential Employers
Sunday, January 29, 2012 Knoxville, TN; The ongoing economic crisis in the US makes for an uncertainty in the future not only for businesses but for individuals as well. With 15 million people unemployed and a weak economic growth rate of only 3%, jobs are not being created fast enough, not only for the unemployed but the college graduates and others just entering into the job market.
Because of all of these economic pressures, a person seeking a job in today’s business world must do what businesses have done for years-brand themselves in a way that makes them attractive to potential employers. This will help to bridge the growing gap between what organizations are looking for and what potential employees have to offer. Strategies job seekers need in order to accomplish this in 2012 are:
• Mental toughness for the difficult employment forecast both current and future. • Development of a personal brand with an online professionalism that includes LinkedIn, article publications and other critical online networks • Willingness to volunteer services to leverage other knowledge opportunities and gain vital job experience, making an individual more valuable to a future employer. • Gain new skills and abilities through education and certification, which will separate the individual for other job applicants. • Practice positive self-affirmations about own skills and abilities • Build a profession network to help identify job opportunities • Seek out, accept and utilize critical advice and mentorship • Ask probing questions that lead to creative solutions • Surround yourself with a network of positive, successful people.
It is only by making themselves unforgettable, will individuals succeed in this economic crisis and find employment. Furthermore, it will help them with any future career challenges they will no doubt encounter as well
